What is Game Design?

Game design is a large field, drawing from the fields of computer science/programming, creative writing, and graphic design. Game designers take the creative lead in imagining and bringing to life video game worlds.


The History of Game Design

Game design has come along way as far as, the way games look and the overall feel of games.  Video game design starts with an idea, often a modification on an existing concept.The game idea may fall within one or several genres.Designers often experiment with mixing genres.The game designer usually produces an initial game proposal document containing the concept, gameplay, feature list, setting and story, target audience, requirements and schedule, staff and budget estimates.

There are many different Game systems for games out there.Here are a list of many different gaming systems also known as game platforms that have came out over the years. Game boy pocket, Game boy Advance, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, the many versions of the Xbox ranging from the first one to the new and improved Xbox One, Also the many different forms of the Playstation ranging from the first one to now the Playstation 4.
